The Roosevelt is an adaptive re-use project located in a former Ames Community School District school. After being closed for several years, a creative development group gave the building a new life as 20 residential condos that hearken to the building’s past as a school, but with a unique, modern feel that compliments the historic presence of the former school. Working within constraints from the National Register of Historic Places and the community, the developer and JCorp worked together to create a unique product that has generated excitement in the community.
