Prairie Pointe is the first major multi-family development in Prairie Trail, a New Urbanist-designed community in the heart of Ankeny. The location, across from the District, the future commercial core of Prairie Trail, caused the project to require strong collaboration between JCorp, Haverkamp Properties, and Prairie Trail’s Architectural Review Board. JCorp had to balance the sensitivity of student housing costs while considering the complexity of the established design patterns of the Prairie Trail District. The two-phase project was completed with a total of 160 4-bedroom units throughout 10 buildings.
